Find freedom and healing from life's hurts, hang-ups and habits.

Are you stuggling with...

  • Relational, emotional, or family hurts in your past that are affecting your present
  • Destructive habits that are harming you and others around you?
  • False mindsets that feed you lies about yourself and others?

What is Celebrate Recovery?

Celebrate Recovery is a Christ centered 12 step-8 principle program based off of the beatitudes found in God’s word for any one struggling with hurt, pain, or addiction of any kind. Celebrate Recovery is a safe place to find community from the issues that are controlling our life.

Who is Celebrate Recovery for?

Celebrate Recovery is for EVERYONE!

No one should have to face their pain alone.

We are a grace-filled community of strugglers who courageously enter this safe and beautiful space to get honest about our pain, and the negative ways we may see ourselves, God, and others. In this process, we come to accept that some of the habits we have developed to escape our pain may have hurt us and those close to us. It is a biblically based approach to help us achieve long lasting recovery by healing our hurts, guiding us toward new healthy truths, and developing life-giving habits.

When & Where does CR meet?

CR meetings are held on Thursdays @ 6:30 PM in the Multipurpose Building (located at 3007 Cedar Creek Drive,  La Grange, TX).

What should I expect?

Each night consists of a large group meeting with worship and a lesson or a testimony, and then we break into gender-specific small groups to share. We maintain a safe environment by adhering to the FIVE SMALL GROUP GUIDELINES.

The purpose of Celebrate Recovery is to find God's healing power in our lives through the EIGHT RECOVERY PRINCIPLES found in the Beatitudes and the CHRIST-CENTERED 12 STEPS.

By working the Christ-centered steps and applying their Biblical principles, we begin to grow spiritually. We become free from the pain of our pasts and the destructive behaviors of our present. This freedom creates peace, serenity, joy, and more importantly, a stronger personal relationship with God, others, and our One and Only Higher Power, Jesus Christ.

CR Step Study Groups

Join a step study to take a deeper look at the 12 steps of Celebrate Recovery. It’s a safe space to grow in faith, share struggles, and find healing.

  • A Step Study is a personal, in-depth journey through the 12 Steps of Celebrate Recovery, led by a facilitator who has already completed the study. It is in this group setting that true healing from life's hurts, habits, and hang-ups can take place. Recovery is a process, not a quick fix, and Step Studies are structured to meet once a week, typically taking 6 to 9 months to complete. Joining a Step Study is a long-term commitment—not only to the group but also to yourself. You are expected to do the work, show up each week, and stay committed to the process. The effort you put into Celebrate Recovery directly impacts the healing you experience. Once you've completed your Step Study, we encourage you to join us in helping others who are facing similar struggles.

By the time you finish the study, you will have worked through each of the 12 steps, addressing your hurts, habits, and hang-ups along the way. Step Study groups are gender-specific and meet on Thursdays from 5:15 to 6:15 PM, separate from the 6:30 PM Celebrate Recovery meetings.

Once a group has completed the first Participant Guide, it will be closed to new participants. However, new groups start periodically, so feel free to reach out if you're interested in joining a future Step Study.

  • Many people believe that recovery is only for those struggling with addiction to alcohol or drugs. In reality, only about one-third of those who participate in Celebrate Recovery are facing chemical dependencies. Whether someone’s battle is emotional, financial, relational, or related to substance use, there is hope for healing. Celebrate Recovery provides the tools needed to move beyond life’s hurts, habits, and hang-ups, offering a pathway to emotional health and peace even in the midst of life’s challenges.

  • Celebrate Recovery uses four Participant Guides to work through the 12 Steps and 8 Recovery Principles. These guides provide a structured way to process and heal:

    • Participant Guide #1 – Stepping Out of Denial
    • Participant Guide #2 – Taking an Honest and Spiritual Inventory
    • Participant Guide #3 – Getting Right with God
    • Participant Guide #4 – Growing in Christ

Links to purchase these items on your own are provided on the online registration form. You can also ask a Celebrate Recovery leader about materials available for purchase at the church, but please note that supplies are limited.

  • To maintain a safe, supportive, and respectful environment, we ask all participants to follow these important group guidelines:

    1. Focus on Yourself: Share your own thoughts and feelings using “I” statements. Limit your sharing to three to five minutes.
    2. No Cross-Talk: Cross-talk refers to a direct dialogue between two individuals that excludes others. Everyone should feel free to express their feelings without interruption.
    3. Support, Don’t Fix: We are here to support each other in recovery, not to try to "fix" anyone.
    4. Confidentiality Is Key: What’s shared in the group stays in the group—except when someone’s safety is at risk.
    5. Respectful Language: In a Christ-centered recovery group, offensive language is not acceptable.
